Hot Product : Nology LAPTOP DYNO
This is what I have been waiting for!!
Import Tuner did a great review on this product, i would encourage all of you out there who spend money on DYNO'ing your car to read it and read it well. (October '05 issue#079, pg 131)
IN SHORT: They tested an 05 infinti g35
241.4hp @ 6k
212.1tq @ 5.9k
On a real dyno:
239.6hp
210.2tq
That means that a do it yourselfer can post 99% accuracy on self pulled dynos.
Things you can do:
Torque Curve
Power Curve
Acceleration
Gear Ratio
Fuel Economy
Requirements:
Laptop or PDA
Open stretch of road
An OBDII socket
Its so simple, pick a gear to run in, allow the software to calibrate and count down, floor it until you reach redline, upshift and slow to a stop. DONE!
When I get the money ($370) I am for sure getting this product. I have a laptop that i barely use. And now ill know what kind of gains my upgrades will give me. $370 is a no brainer for UNLIMITED LIFETIME DYNOS. Plus all the times you wish you had a dyno now you can. I am so excited about this product.

There are a few companies that have had these types of OBD dongles for Palm/WinCE/PC on the market for a while. There's also a good amount of free software for them, too. Nology's kit is no different and $370 seems a bit steep.

I'm talking about Nology's software, Ive downloaded a couple of free ones and looked at some others in the $100 range and they didn't seem to do as much or look as nice as the nology.
This does look ok though... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ProSc...69085526QQrdZ1
