HKS, Greddy and most others are just axel back.

the key to elimiating rasp is either
1. resonator,
2. keep stock exhaust manifold.

So if all you need is a resonator...how hard is that to add?

 

I just discovered my perfect combination today... OEM Megan exhaust (deepens the tone but keeps volume the same) and a custom 2.5" mid pipe, deleting the resonator. It sounds nice and deep, with no rasp. I love it! That and I don't have to deal with a slanty exhaust.

 

djct, do you have aftermarket headers?

 

No... But that's probably why there's no rasp... :/
