Default how to polish heatshield?

Guys sorry dunno if this post fits in this cat but here i go...
I was wondering if it would be possible to polish the scions heatschield to give it a more metallic look. And if so how?

I had mine sent to Jet-Hot for their "sterling silver" coating.

how much did it cost? why not just send the stock manifold off for a coating (assuming you had the resources to bear the downtime)?

It was a little over $30 to have it coated, however, shipping & handling to and from AZ cost twice that. Good question about the stock manifold, the reason I didn't send it was because I didn't want to risk damaging the cat converter. I still may buy a header and have it coated as well, but in the meantime, this was an inexpensive and legal way to get some points at the car shows.

thats stayed heavy...really tight
Is there no other way other then sending it in..... like a do it yourself thing?

its metal. just go to town on it with a rag and buffing compound.
