How you shift you gear?
Today when I at work I ride with my co-worker to see my customer, the car he have is also a stick shfit like mine, and I have notice he only use clutch on 1st gear, and he didnt use clutch after he passed the 1st gear.... shouldn't that cause any gear grinding?! damage the transmision? So does he driving the car in the correct way? and have anyone else drive like that? please let me know if I should change my driving style like he does too or just keep it old school?
hmmmm honestly im not sure but i have heard that this is possible. a friend told me his friend drove a mr2 and dint use the clutch either. he said that theres a window somewere between 3-4000 that you can shift but i dont know for sure just what a heard, id still wouldnt recommend it

with proper rev matching.. it's possible.
otherwise your snychos are gonna have a REALLY FUN time..
i've done it.. but if you don't do it right.. you'll get some grindage...
i just shift as usual using the clutch normally.

my co-worker told me the same thing, and he even show me how to drive like that... but i just afraid it will damage the trasmission instead of clutch... becoz that what happend to his car rite now.. he told me he is not easy to shift like before now... but he told me its not that becoz of it to caused the problem... anyone else can help?
well it can be done, me i drive a semi for work and the only time i use the clutch in when i am coming to a stop and also leaveing but once i get out of first i never use the clutch. plus i had a friend do that in his bug.
there is no way I would match all the time with my own car. Just so people that are reading this dont think this is an easy thing to do .... mess up and you will hear some bad noises. just a heads up.

you wanna try matching rpms ...do it on your company truck or something .... not your car.
i do it once in a blue moon without the clutch. it is fairly easy once you know what your doing. i did it non stop in my nissan truck but i very rarely do it in my tc. it just doesn't seem right.

Dude, you REALLY need to work on your typing skills...I had to read, reread, and then read again what you were saying. I was having trouble finding a pronoun! haha
But yea, I wouldn't want to mess up my tC trying to shift like that

in my friends crx and type s its possible to shift without using the clutch. and yes there will be a bit of jerkage going on but from what i hear its nothing bad. i mean the clutch if you think about it is usually just for stop to first or stop to reverse and so on..
yes, please do not try it. I have done this before on my previous car a few times. Pulling the shifter into neutral without stepping on the clutch doesnt produce any nasty noises but as for damage, I dont know.
As Squall stated, it's like match revving but not exactly. See, there is a point where engine speed and transmission speed are perfectly matched..... such as shifting into the next higher gear off gas, clutch in, the RPMs drop and then stop at a point when the clutch is engaged. At that EXACT point/RPM, you are able slide the shifter into gear without stepping on the clutch.

hmm, if you don't use the clutch in other gears, doesn't that defeat the purpose of driving a manual....i mean, if your that lazy, you might as well drive a sport shift auto or smg....
