Default Hrm. Exhaust Setup.

hi guys, i'm new to the site, and didn't really see anything that would help.

so, im going for an I/H/E setup, and right now the combo im looking at is:

Injen CAI,
DC Sport Headers,
Tanabe Medalion Touring OR Tanabe Concept G.

that's around the price im willing to pay, so any good combos that are around that price or cheaper would be greatly appreciated.
im just looking for an average horsepower boost with a nice deep sound, not too loud, but not too soft.
so pretty much, just an average boost with an average sound.

also, any inputs on the specific parts i gave would help too (especially the Tanabe's).

unless you get dif. header or get a bigger resonator, itll be raspy

Strup or DME Header
Strup, DC Sports or my fav, Precision Muffler Axleback

Can't go wrong with those. Though the MMW header will net you more power, it costs more. Happy modding!

get a full exhaust you want a catback thats were you make 4-7 hp

alright if we're gonna get technical. my old setup was the hps intake (buy it please! jk lol)dme header, invidia s-pipe, and skunk2 exhaust with a vibrant hi-flow cat. sounded great and got the job done. the n/a got old lol.

what header would you suggest?

I would suggest a 4-2-1 header.

I myself will be rockin Tsudo Header/spipe/midpipe to oem axleback

i have an '09 tc.
is anything changes as to where a tsudo wont fit?

it says 04-08, that's why i'm slightly confused.

You didnt search very well did ya?

Anyways go 4-2-1 header. Get MMW or the Tsudo(copy of MMW). They both come with an s-pipe which is a bottlenecxk in our exhaust system. Injen is a great intake. Pain to install though!!

DONT get the tanabe medallion Touring. It looks to tacky to me and way to much going on where the exhaust is. Go with the concept G or go skunk2 or custom. But get at least an 18" resonator since you want a header. Or get 2 12 or 14 inch. Bigger is good too. Just get one or suffer the warth of super rasp!!

yeah. my midpipe was perfect, but i havent installed the header yet but the previous owner said it was perfect

i seem to be able to find the tanabe for cheaper than the skunk2, so im going to go with that most likely.

any suggestions on the resonator?

both tanabes are only axleback, skunk2 is full s-pipe back. the skunk2 is awesome, you won't regret it at all. aero25 for the resonater.

I'd rock the Tsudo with a Skunk2 and an Injen ram air.

I'm pretty sure that'll get you a full I/H/E set up.

Imagine if you just save your money..instead of spending close to 1000 dollars for I/H/E you could save it for a Dezod turbo kit. 4,000 would set you close to 250WHP and higher. If you buy I/H/E..you wouldnt even break 180WHP

yeah, but as an 18 year old working for $8/hr on weekends, is it worth it?

im kicking myself for going i/h/e because its pretty much a waste of money.

i was like you when i first got my tc, i really wanted to spend some money and make it faster but every bolt on i bought didnt do anything noticeable. now almost two years later i have realized its all for basically nothing.

if you want good sound then STAY AWAY from any header. just get s pipe back...zpi sounds good.

just my opinion
