Default i need help with my headers

I am trying to install my new headers but I have a problem with one of the studs in the middle of the old header. when I try to spin the nut off of the stud, the stud will only spin. I have tried everything and am just wandering if I can just pull the whole stud out with it and not worry about it, or do I have to leave it in because it might strip the stud?
