So I got around to installing my exhaust last week and have to say at first I hated it and now I kinda like it, it's a little raspy but more of a growl than a bumblebee, I'm running a DME header, Meagan s-pipe, and tsudo midpipe and axleback. It was a breeze to install and required no welding. All stainless just made sure I wiped it down with alcohol before starting it and disconnected my battery before and installed o2 spacer to trick the sensor and here I am with no CEL

 

I suppose there are many things that are much worse that you could be addicted to. I have a love/hate relationship with the sound of my exhaust.

 

I couldn't bare the sound of the header with my HKS....ended up taking off the Megan header, which is a major fail by itself and ended up selling the tC shortly after....

Glad you like your setup though....you will be getting bored soon enough

Haha...rasp is a part of life.... I have a Tanabe cat-back... (boost in the works no point for a header) only time i hate it is at 5+ k rpms....other than that it sounds pretty awesome

 

some people like and and some dont......i dont mind a little bit but couldnt bare with a whole lot of it..i have the megan header and drift spec not much rasp below 4k rpm but only on WOT and still not much but on the other hand with the DME header it was crazy rasp just to much for me to handle but hey if you like it good for you just be careful of cops

 

he maybe got 3whp with all he listed mostly for look at sound

 

There is nothing worse than hearing a raspy car try to keep up with traffic.

DME header claims about 10 hp and is suppously the best header for the tc...i felt better mid to high rpm power with my megan header nothing extreme but then again i got alot of mods plus the throttle controller from TWP which i can make the car pull hard if i choose too

 

getting real close to flaming me guys, never claimed it to give a large power gain or that the rasp bothered me, id rather hear the rasp than stop traffic everytime i see the slightest bump so i dont scratch up my $500 dollar axleback, i dont even slow down i just scrap and drag it, stuff was cheap

 

I have a DC header, oem replacement cat, and a BBP exhaust (EXACTLY the same as Tsudo) and only rasps from 5k-5500 when vtec kicks.

Win.

 

mine is so awesome it broke my vtec, i couldnt afford another one so i had to replace it with a vvti until i can order this new JDM vtec for the tC

 

personally i cant stand rasp at all. but to each their own

 

if you want headers you get rasp, unless you go with some huge resonators, then you defeat the purpose of a more free-flowing exhaust

 

thats y i love xB1s you can get a header and not have rasp

the xb1 dosnt rasp because its a smaller motor too, i was just messing with you tctctc, ive had a few hondas and they all rasp with exhaust win the vtec kicks in, like i said the rasp isnt that bad ive heard alot worse.
