Default Increase power and throttle response NEW Device**NEW PICS**

I just installed a speed controller in my TC. Its a little box that allows your drive by wire TB to perform at 100% . I will work on getting dyno numbers. A buddy of mine makes these in Japan and is thinking about bring them into the US. IF anyone id interested let me know. Install is basic plug and play piggy back. its about a10 minute install and the unit itself is about 2.5 x 2.5 x .5 inches. with a variable gauge and on?off switch. I will post some pics too.

eBay power chips are simple resistors. This little chip sounds like it fools the computer into thinking it's at 10% (or so) less throttle so it opens the TB more. All Toyotas are made to not open 100% even at what's considered WOT. I expect a horse or two at peak HP but that's it. It's pretty good to have when there's absolutely nothing else for you to buy.

Otherwise, I would put the money else where. But then again, I don't make anything close to "bank" so if a CAI is up your alley, go for it.

Default Hope it's not an Ebay chip

I hope this "power adapter" is not just another chip. I t would be nice to have some low cost aftermarket HP gains. Post some pics, even if there just from your phone. You got my attention!

I agree with kungpow, you should see minor if any gains. And most likely when you slam it to the floor you will stall the engine. They had some purpose behind designing it this way, so I am not sure what the system will do with the extra throttle.

And this does not change the car from being DBW by the way if that was what someone meant. It will still be DBW.

Yeah, I agree. If the TB opens wide at the start, you'll most likely suck so much air in that you will run leaner than usual and staul. Since the VVT-i is pretty lean to start with, this will just hurt it from the start. It might help a bit in the higher rpms with more fuel, but probobly not worth what it will cost. I will keep my .5 second delay.

It doesnt fool it into thinking the TB is at 10% at idle if that was the case your idle would be at 1500-1900. It works great. And is designed only for the TC and the DBW. There is a plug in the car at the gas pedal, that is where it piggy backs at.

I saw the ones on ebay......hahahahahaha....what a joke.

Ill get pics soon, I have been doing some upgrades...turbo, suspension, Motec exhaust....hahaha J/k, etc.

BUt once I get my hands on my camera and can upload/host....
