Default INJEN cold air intake

So i popped my hood and checked my intake and noticed that its sort of wobbly... loose in a way and i got scared so i spoke to my mechanic and he said its like that because at high revs the engine moves. Is this true? thanks for reading guys ..

Well.. yes, but no.

Yes- Your engine moves under heavy load and acceleration. Stiffer motor mounts and a torque dampner can prevent this, and show some benefits in shifting as well as eliminating wheel hop.

Probably no- The wobbly-ness of the intake could either be due to this movement, or it just wasn't installed tightly. If you're worried, just tighten it down.

Either way, it's probably not coming off. If it doesn't rattle or rub, I wouldn't worry about it.... If it does come off, you'll know quickly, and should be easy to fix.

It's designed to move.... the two places it secures are both on rubber grommets, which allow a bit of movement... as the engine vibrates and moves...
