Default Injen intake = void warrantee?

I got my tc a few months back, but because i bought it new, it is covered by the toyota warrantee. I am now looking to put in an intake/exhaust, but while i am planning on going with the TRD exhaust which i know is covered by the warrantee, i wanted to get the Injen cai (its cheaper, and from what ive heard gives better gains). my question is, if i decide to go with the injen, will it void my warrantee because its not covered by toyota? any input on the issue would be appreciated.

better gains from an intake?

none of them are going to giving you any decent power...they are more for cosmetic purposes....

wont void your WARRANTY unless they can prove that the intake was the cause of the problem.

The only thing an intake would void would be the mass airflow sensor warrenty. As long as you install it corectly you should be ok.
I just had my car at the dealer for a engine leak, i have a intake, a header, a s-pipe back exhaust with no cats, poly motor mounts and they didn't say a word. They did however fix the leak..
You'll be ok.

There are a few threads about warranty. should search.

But to answer your question. It doesn't void the warranty unless some mechanical problem happens to your car, and they can prove that it was ur intake that caused the problem

Yes an intake or any other performance part will not void the warrenty, i went to court with toyota's extra care warrenty when my celica Gt-s motor blew, and the only way a performance part will void the warrenty if the part is directly relatiing to the causes.....Such as if you hydrolocked your motor with a CAI = void or blow your motor wit ha turbo setup etc....

i work for a toyota dealer and sell them and NO it will not void the warranty.
again only if they can prove the part is the cause of the issue.

Yea you sell cars. I work in service and if you tamper with your vehicle at all it voids any warranty involved whatever it is you done to your car. If you at engine mods then you no longer are under warranty because it is no longer factory and no longer performs the way the factory had intended. If you have any engine issue with the car it will not be under warranty. Also i have witnessed it first hand because pretty much nothing on my 06 tc is under warranty anymore.

Actually if you read about the warenty on your car it explains in detail that aftermarket Intakes that aren't from trd and put on by toyota will void your mass air flow warrenty. This consists of everything from your intake, header to exhaust, and all of your 02 sensors. It WILL NOT void the warrenty on anything else on the car unless Toyota car prove that your aftermarket part was the cause of the damage, thus you paying for the damages. But if you are looking at replacing all of these with aftermarket parts then it doesn't really matter. An intake/exhaust is actually good for your car because it puts less stress on the engin and lets it work easier. If you do a correct install of your intake/exhaust you will not run into any problems with a basic N/A car.
I work for Lexus.

My engine was leaking oil, and i pulled right up to the service bay and told the service manager my problem and he set up an appointment. I had on my car poly motor mounts, header, intake, s-pipe, 2.5" exhaust with no cats, dropped 2".. I dropped it off, they set me up with a rental, i picked it up 2 days later all set and fixed.
Sounds like your dealership sux, your type of dealer ships are the ones that we all hate. You have to sit there for an hour an argue with the guys because they want to try and deny the warranty.

sh*t, i installed my own audio system awhile back. I ran new speaker wire from the amp to the doors and didnt realize i cut one of the wires for the auto side mirror. I took it in and they told me i had messed it up when i was running it through the boot. They fixed it under warranty and went on my way.
