INJEN intake 08 tC
Hey, im thinking about buying an injen intake... but i dont wanna throw a CEL. ive heard some people say they got 1, some say they didnt. is it luck of the draw? or what? Im thinking about getting 1 used...will that effect the CEL? Also, if i do get a CEL... is there anyway to make it go away?
thanks guys
thanks guys
get the injen.. no CEL problem what so ever(when installed correctly)
just reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 5mins or remove the fuse for 15sec n put it back on..(Theres a DYI on it)

i wouldnt say its the only one, imho i think all of them work just as good as the next, its just i think some people where careless when installing and messed up the maf sensor.

unlike all others wich are hit and miss
so basically, install it right, and youre pretty much guaranteed no CEL
and yes i live under a rock, a very nice rock thank you very much! lol
My injen CAI on my 05 has worked flawlessly. You guys make it seem like you have to baby that MAF sensor. I took mine off and tried to baby it, but it kept getting knocked around. It still works perfectly.
any sensor that costs 200 bux to replace i say baby tha mo fo....if im not mistaken the way the maff works is it has a small heating element in it that when its cooled down by incoming air it changes the voltage going through it and in turn that voltage (signal) is sent to your computer. this alows the computer to know how much air is going in. the heater element is super small and to me looks very fragile, id baby it if i where you.
if im wrong on this someone please correct me.

Its very hard to hyrdolock your car. I drive in seattle with all the rain we get and have the bumper grill piece out to allow cooler air to my intake and have never had problems. It also helps that we have the plastic undercarriage guards. Dont be driving in 1ft deep puddles.
