Default injen sri?

ok i have a few questions. im planning on getting the injen intake, i have read a few threads and stuff about them. wondering is there really that much of a hp gain and or difference in the cai and sri. basically i want to install it as a sri for a few weeks unitll i can get somewhere where i can install the rest of it. but also wondering if i install it as a sri. do i have to remove the piece of the stock intake that goes down into the fender? pretty much meaing can i install it as a sri, and leave the stock part in the fender? lmk thanks.

Why would you want to leave the stock piece in the fender when you want be using it at all?

Uhm you dont have to jack up the car to take the stock air box and intake tube off. Like I said it is barely in the fender, and is held on by like 2 clips.

oh well for some reason someone told me it comes down like the aftermarket ones. if thats the case then envermind lol. it will be coming out. but that just leaves me to the other question. i mean is there really a big difference in gains from the cai and sri. or difference at all.

You dont need to jack up your car or take the wheel off to install a CAI anyways. Just take the front bumper off. Thats what i did when i installed mine. you can access all of the bolts on the bottom by just laying down, no jack needed. Just remove the bolts underneath, in the fender, and the clips on top and remove the bumber.

well i guess that is a option. i was just old it was easier to take the wheel off and fender lining. but i guess that is a better option.

Yeah the front bumber is super easy to take off and put back on, just make sure you "loose fit" everything when you put the bumper back on to make sure everything is lined up correctly. You can have the bumber off in about 5-10 minutes if you have the right size socket and know where the bolts/clips are. Im sure there is something on here that shows you how to remove the front bumber.

I can also be a witness to the front bumper being easy to take off. I did it for my HIDs. But yes, lose fit it first I started tightening everything down and had the other side all off because of it.

Take your time with it and it isn't hard. Plus you can clean some spots that you can't normally get at.
