Yep that is how I shift with mine, though a sobe bottle works even better to give your forarm support. Found it out when we took the road trip from Houston up to Dallas last sunday. I realy love it myself and I do have a pic of the comparison of the stock shifter I keep forgetting to post.

i have the twm now and i can still rest my arm on the arm rest (maybe i have monkey arms) it is relay nice shorter throughs and alot more esthetically apealing
