Intake & Exhaust ??
Right now I have the opportunity to purchase a TRD intake for $200.
I still have the stock exhaust, as I was thinking of getting a custom one made.
My question is, is it worth getting the intake right now with just the stock exhaust on there, or should i wait for both? I do like the appearance of the intake, but I want a little more kick as well to the tc.
Thanks!

It doesnt matter if you get the intake now or later. All it is really does is give it a different sound. Intake and exhaust are not going to get you any kind of significant power gains. They are mainly for show and sound.

it really doesnt matter if u get one or the other or both at the same time. it will give it a nice lil sound. when i first got my car that was the first thing i got a intake, then i got the exhaust and now i have the stock exhaust again but with a different midpipe/spipe and header

i would say it is worth it to get the intake first. you get some good sounds out of it and it will give you minimal gains in hp and mpg so why not?
and $200 for the trd intake is a good price.

sooooo
Is it pointless to shop around for intake and exhaust? if there is not going to be any significant power gain, should anyone just stick with the trd intake and exhaust as a default and not waste time shopping around for different brands? all im really going for is a nice deep sound, not so much power gain.
