Did you disconnect your battery to reset your ECU? If not, that's why. It has nothing to do with the intake.

Exactly, I'm not sure what the grace period is (if any). But if you have your battery disconnected, the auto functions of the sunroof and windows need to be reset.

the proper and easiest way to reset power window function (this is what the service guys at my dealer told me and it worked. Reach over or have a friend in the passenger side roll down the passenger window while doing the same on the drivers side simultaniously. Then roll them both all the way back up and your good as new. No holding anything down needed just all the way down all the way up and it'll reset them and the sunroof.

why did you disconnect the battery? was it easier access to remove the original intake system?

I think the theory is to reset the computer so it will quickly adjust to the new intake for best gains.

I've also read about doing this to "re-train" an automatic transmission to a different style of driving. Don't know if this applies to auto tC's as well...

How to reset your windows, sunroof, and trunk are in your owner's manual. However, here's how to do it:

Roll both windows down half way, then roll both up all the way. When they reach the top, hold the buttons up for 2 seconds. All set!

For the sunroof, hold the button in the close position for 2 seconds. All set!
