Intake Supercharger combo inquiry
Definitely getting the supercharger for my tC once I save up some dough. Getting an intake first though. K&N, or CAI...leaning towards CAI though - better sound.
Was curious if there's any intakes out there that cause a mechanical, or even installation conflict with the supercharger and which are known to be the best intakes (more whp) for the tC. I've heard good things about Injen so far. . .
Thanks in advance

there are no current s/c intakes but there is on in the making - there are a few that tried to make some intakes and the dyno results proved bad or not worth it. But - wait till next week or the following week and there should be a post on dyno results on a new intake - wait and see.
right now there are no other details so just wait till atleast a week from not to ask about details cause i have no more.

All the current aftermarket intakes will NOT work with the supercharger unless you make some modifications because the supercharger goes between the filter and the intake manifold. There are plenty of threads about it in the tC Forced Induction thread.
As said above, it isn't recommended to modify an intake to fit the supercharger because of air/fuel mixture problems. I'm still waiting for someone to make something for us s/c guys.

to to make your own woudnt be very hard. as i see it, the stock air box is in the same spot on the SC as it is on the nonSC.. right? so, the only thing you need is an intake.. cut off one end so you have the sensor in the tube, put a splice in there.. and boom.. intake.. its gonna take an adapter, but they sell those at autozone... just a regular intake deal.. i would do it, but i dont want to spend the coin for just one piece.. tryin to find this piece so i can build my own... http://www.powerflowracing.com/spect...?mid=84&pt=692 but as said in another thread, that if its not the same size as factory, its gonna throw a code.. and i know that the stock size isnt 3".. so im searching now...
