Default INTERESTING STORY of the TRD SUPERCHARGER..

Yes Yes I am sure most of u guys believe it just to be a rumor and it will never come out. Some of you might be just reading this and try not to get ur hopes high. Well, I'm not getting my hopes high. This is what happened two days ago when I went and talked to my friend that works in the Toyota. I was asking him about it and he told me it has been out already until he called the department (he called them in front of me and i heard the whole conversation, it was hilarious when I saw his face) He told me he had not idea b/c He said he definitely say the TRD Supercharger listed in the new tC brochure/booklet which it is true if u guys look at the new brochure. (P/s: the new TRD intake and strut bar are listed in there as well.) So he told me that it has to be out soon b/c they've been handing out these brochures to ppl. I dont know what to say but I guess this is good enough reason for me to wait further more.

Now back to the topic, I also heard an interesting story about the S/c, not sure if anyone of u heard about it tho. Apparent.. the TRD s/c WAS out long long time ago about the time the tC came out (2004 I guess?) However, toyota soon realized they had to take them back b/c a problem had occured; the s/c was making too much torque compared to the hp it's making (torque > hp = problem?) So it was wearing out the transmission faster than normal, so I guess it was a problem. Now they have fixed the problem and they will be distributing them soon (try emailing some some sites and they should tell u that they'll get them soon) Well, that's the story i wanted to share. So let's hope we'll get them soon..

yawn....as of yet, toyota/TRD has NEVER released a supercharger to the general public for the Scions. PERIOD. The supercharger that is supposedly coming in the next few weekshas been delayed for one reason or another (lots of speculation on this) , but has been shown in several of the scion magazines at the dealerships. Hell, even the dealerships posters had printed on them: "Available in February", and that was in March when I bought mine. But you won't find anyone that actually has a working version on their car yet.

At any rate, please don't reply to this thread anymore, there are far too many S/C posts out there as it is. This one doesn't need to take up any more space on this board.

The tC came out in June of 05 and has never had the option of the SC. The tC came out in the US first and was not out in 04.

what you are posting is pure BS. you can call it an interesting story if you like, but when post that the SC was already out, then recalled, you're posting false information.

This forum is here for the purposes of helping people. Posting false information in no way helps anyone, it confuses the masses, and actually takes away from the board.

If you are "tired of this BS", feel free to use the exit door. It's clear from your language you have no regards for the rules (see the part about mispelling is still cursing, and cursing is not tolerated), so at this point, between your misinformation and your cursing, you are of no use to anyone here.

I thought I purchased my tC in Sept. of '04? Didn't the tC come out in June of '04? I know I didn't just purchase my tC last month, Sept. '05. Either there is a glitch in the Matrix or engifineer had a few too many.

I'm guessing what he meant was the tc came out in 04, but it was an 05 model.

I got my car in Dec. and saw the same stuff saying it was coming out in Feb. I think I saw a preproduction test in 1 car mag with the S/C tC. Never heard of any ones that got out to the public either.

A Co-worker was at a lot yesterday and was told she could buy one. She doesn't know anything about cars, so I'm pretty sure she's just gullible and thinking that she'll get one. Apparently there was one on the lot though and she said she saw the actual supercharger.....so I guess we'll see

Dslrdave,
I think you're being rather liberal with ScionBandit's post....
he, along with many of us, are sooo frustrated by the many exceedingly unnecessary posts about the s/c. Especially since so many of these posts are either false or repeat information.

And SB doesn't *own* the dealership....he just works there. So what if he doesn't care about one specific part his dealer sells. Can you honestly say that every employee at your dealership gives a rats *ss about every part that is carried/sold at your dealership????

Before you point a finger at someone, be aware that the other four often point back at yourself.

I can tell you right now, if it were a choice between yours and his dealerships, regardless of proximity, I'd choose dealing with him and his service over yours, because at least he isn't making personal attacks on you/your dealership.

[/rant] back on topic.

Uh, what?

1. I am not a dealer. Where does it say that I am, and where did I say that I was?

2. If you would like to know what I do for work, feel free to PM me and I can explain that one persons attitude such as his WOULD affect my whole company, seeing as each department is dependant on one anothers.

3. clearly you were being a little bit too liberal with one persons "opinion". Thank you for your concern.

Sorry for the confusion, I thought I was looking at your name, but I guess I was looking at scionbandit's. The name itself was hidden.
Again, please keep this on subject. This isn't the place for your (or mine, or anyone elses) opinions on their employees or occupations ;)
