Nothing wrong with that. I just laugh when people catch feelings when something negative about our cars is said (econobox for example., which isnt even a negative thing to say, its the truth).

When I say its crap, I dont mean literally the car is crap and it sucks. -__- Its just not fast, perfomance wise its not up there. It can be, but thats for every car. A stock tC is fine for the average car, alot of torque which I love.

Stop catching feelings people. Its a car. And this is a forum, live with all the different opinions.

Peope love to commenet on me being negative and hating on every car, but I dont. Check around, I compliment alot of people on their cars, performance wise I can say our cars are crappy (for the average car its great). Looks wise, a well done tC is pleasing in my eyes. I can give props to a nice looking tC and I do it often in the tC lounge. So relax budddy. Again, stop pumping the e-chest.

Civic Si = Higher trim level of a Civic

MS3 = Higher trim level of a Mazada3

STI = Higher trim level of a WRX

Evo = Higher trim level of a Lancer

Mini Cooper S = Higher trim level of a Mini

350z Track = Higher trim level of a base 350z


tC = One and only one Trim level. What you make of it...IS your Higher trim level.

I assume your talking about stock performance. If that's the case, then I have to ask, what car in the same class as a tC out performs it in every way stock vs stock? I think where your misguided comments are, is that your trying to compare a stock tC to a stock $30k car that's not even in the same class. Of course it would be crap stock vs a $30k stock car that was designed with a racing heritage in mind.

But when you actually compare it to it's competitors, it doesn't come in last that's for sure.

Lastly, we are in the hobby of modding cars....who gives a rats **** about stock. It's proven it has potential, the aftermarket support to capitalize on that potential, and that's all that matters. Stock 160 don't mean squat after it's boosted making double the amount with just a simple bolt on kit and barely pushing any boost through it. Going for 160 crank to 400 to the wheel (before needing internals) is pretty good in my opinion. And taking the "econo" car and whooping up on purposed designed sports cars = a great experience.

For the most part, my understanding is they are not exactly recommended to be installed on the tC. That's why you only find like a handful of tC's with it even on their car.

from what ive read about setups like those.ie: camcon,safc2 and such,seems like at first no one could get the damn things installed properly,so everyone bashed on them.it would be nice to hear the op's opinion on it.or anyone thats used one lately,had it installed properly,and dyno'd,just to see if they still dont work,or if it was user error.

Yeah, but why waste time and money and just go with a proven product instead. The only time I would side with that thought process is if it's never been done before. But there have been others before that have, and they went Kaput. And then there are the hundreds that have other management on them....see the picture. Even if it was user error, the Apexi is no where near the tuning power of the other managements we have available to us.

well the safc works great on my car, but only to fix a/f ratios, no vvti, no ign, etc....

i got it for cheap, and it gained more than 5whp and a very nice fuel curve for less than $150.
