Default Judge the sound of my Srs catback on a a/t Tc

So I know everyone hates on Ebay exhaust and what not, but im still trying to make it sound better without dropping a ton of money on a catback exhaust, and I see axel backs as pointless, so I went ahead and bought a Srs catback exhaust off ebay for 260$.. took 30 minutes or so to remove stock, and install aftermarket, in my opinion it sounds good, and friends who have civics, wrx's, camaros ect.. all say it sounds pretty good for what it is, so im letting scionlife be the judge and give me some feedback!

I am guessing with that sound clip you do not have a header? It actually sounds fine, or as espected for a Tc. I had an SRS also (cant belief you paid $260.00 I got mine on ebay for 160.00 shipped to my door about 1.5 years ago) anyway, I have a DC header and it sounded pretty bad, I took the exhaust off after about 2 weeks and got a custom exhaust. It felt as if the resonator that comes with the SRS is not doing anything. I like the pipes way better than the Tsudo, also notice that on my car due to the Spipe I have it looked and felt as if the pipes were shorter than the Tsudo. Overall I liked the construction of the SRS way better than tsudo, but with a header the SRS sounds extremely raspty...the way you have it set up sounds good and melow...I have an auto by the way

IF you do have a header ... then your camara is garbage and it did not pick up the sound as it should ... jk...

sounds good and congrats on the purchase.

I'll be honest, not my cup of tea, but exhaust sound is something that everyone has their idea of what "sounds good." If your happy with it then enjoy!

Prior to ending up with a tC (yes I "ended up with one" since I didn't actually buy it...long story) I had had a few Mustangs and there was a particular tone that I loved and others that I couldn't stand, and it's the same with these cars... its a personal thing that the owner has to be satisfied with in the end.

Did you have to get rid of the bracket that catches the exhaust? It is held up with 4 bolts, cause it rattles bad if im at a stop light or going over bumps

i left it and put a longer rubber exhaust hanger on and bent the pipe a tiny bit. mine made that same terrible sound for a good month even after that but it stopped. it sounds perfect now though.

I put washers on mine (on the bolts that hold that plate) to move it down a bit. No issue. I even kept it like that with my current exhaust and it has never vibrated. Try that.

Yeah i thought about that but wasnt sure if it would work. Did you have any problems with fitment? My exhaust is a little off center of the exhaust cutout in the bunper, like i want it more centered and up a little more.
