and it came with no instructions. oh well. I'm gonna call and check, but basically the shifter comes with 4 purple spacers, im assuming they're for lifting the shifter housing to a normal level. and they include an aluminum **** now.

the purple things are used to replace the rubber bushings in the shifter cage. i used them and the shifting felt great. look up the instructions for installing the TWM shifter in the tech articles. the steps are exactly the same. the

installed it without the spacers, i did call CC and they said it's just to raise the shifter housing to stock, but it's optional. shifts are much nicer now but this thing is stiff, probably just needs more lube, would vaseline be safe to use?

Use some white lithium grease if you can...it will last a long time and give plenty of lubrication. It should loosen up the more you use it..

KY is so much better , but for the shifter, couldn't tell ya, I have the same thing it felt really stiff and after a few weeks and a bunch of white lithium spray on lube it is closer to being stock smothness, I'm thinking about makeing a weighted shift ****, should help.

I got some at Home Depot. I put the spacers in just make sure you take out the rubber part if you put them in. You should put them in they make a big difference.

one thing about the grease, it goes on really liquidy and then it thickens up, but leave your windows open, the fumes are crazy bad.

it loosens up over time ? put more grease on it?

i hope its better than my b&M shifter! cause ive had it on for 7 months and its still stiff as hell!

plus i have those same exact spacers (looks identical to those except mine were blue) and after i put on my megan exhaust the vibration made those spacers rattle!

its just metal to metal no rubber between, so i would not put them in.

in my opinion those short shift kits suck, they make a already notchy shifter notchier, yeah the throws are alot shorter, but less smooth , its a trade off that i for one dont think is worth it

i would like to see someone make a different linkage on our tranny to give it more leverage, but so far no one has addressed this (aftermarket wise), but i think that would be better rather than just having a different bend on a shorter stick!
