it's not about the cold air intake making a noticable difference. it's the combined power of the mods. same thing with weight reduction. oh, this only weighs 5 pounds, its not gonna make a difference. 5 pounds here, 5 pounds there. it adds up. injen cai- 7whp, removed axleback- 5whp, header- 7-9whp, thats 19-21whp. none of them have remarkable gains.

Listen, if you want power on the tC, you have to go F/I. Bottom line. There's no other choice. I believe somebody around here is going all out on power without doing F/I. He is hoping to make 200whp....yea, um, not worth it.

Good point controlo. I even hear some people getting around 20whp gain on the MMW headers alone. Well hey bolt-ons r fun and it gets boring when people just keep telling us FI FI FI . But to bring up the combination of bolt-ons.. i hear it doesnt add up exactly, for example: exhaust=5whp intake=7whp header=9 whp it doesnt usually just mean 21. Some parts dont go well together this n that. Iono just to point out something i heard.

oh yeah of course. every motor responds different. if you're going to run FI, thats fine. but its like saying, why buy a 50 watt tube guitar amp when you can get a 50 watt solid state amp for $500 less. its going to amplify your guitar either way right? wrong. its preference. tube amps sound completely different and have a different feel than solid state. just as turbo or supercharged power feels completely different than N/A power. and not everybody wants an extra hundred horsepower. some people want just a little bit quicker car. and i would probably say that a car with intake, header exhaust would probably be more reliable than a turbo car. not always.

and what do you mean not worth it? so are you going to tell everybody with an rsx-s that its not worth it to pay $25,000 for 200 horsepower? that they should have bought a tC and turbo charged it? you get much more respect N/A. anyone can slap a turbo on any car and it can be fast. i'm not saying that i don't like turbo's at all. but put some soul into it. it would feel good to beat an rsx-s or a new civic Si N/A.

for what its worth, if i had my way, i'd probably supercharge my tC but not everybody has 3 G-units lying around. not everyone's parents pay for their car. so go pay for your turbo charger and wait for 10 seconds for it to spool up and i'll get equal power throughout the powerband. late.
