I just recently baught and installed my K&N CAI. It makes a whistling sound everytime i press or realease the gas. More so at the 2-3 thousand rpm range. Is this normal or is my intake leaking air?

normal.

all high performance intakes do that. no worries!

 

Not an issue. It is just air entering the intake and throttle body. The tC makes that noise stock, but it does it louder with a CAI.

 

stock airbox makes this whisteling sound as well, the CAI just amplifies it.

no disrespect there Greg2385, but id figure that you would know since you upgraded your intake that that was it working..... big difference from stock..... and I would like to send out a "shoutout" to my number 1 fan engifineer!!!!!!!! It had me worried too, at first, but I've come to not even notice anymore, just listening for that rumble when it goes into 3rd and fourth at 5k rpms ^_^

 

I didnt have to check it out, I see your repeated rude and useless posts all over. I remember you for one simple fact: people tend to remember the extremes, both on the high and low end... your posts put you on the low end, so you are easy to remember.
