allright this mazda 3 4 door sedan was talkin mas sh** about my scion and i asked him to race he said he didnt have any money. so i said alright we will later, so as i took off he jumped in front of me and took off, about 2 seconds later i took off and follwed him like 0-60, i was dead even with his bumper the whole time, i though i woulda came to his bumper and hit the breaks, cus i heard these are slow cars. but anyways if we race and its even or i lose by a slight bit will my i/h/e/p give me big advantage the next race. thanks

what is this about a mazda 3 keeping up with the tc?
it was probably the 2.3 L one, cause the mazdaspeed wouldve smoked a non-boosted tc

Had to reread I thought he said MS3 Yeah a mazda 3 is slim and easy pickins but seriously man take it to the track. You don't want to have a family's death on your conscience. Whenever I am about to do something stupid and illegal like street racing I imagine how I would feed to know that my mom died because some stupid kid flew into her car because he was trying to prove a point. It stops me everytime.

The tC is by no means a fast car. It has mediocre acceleration in today's world. And I guess you can see for yourself whatever you hear is not always the truth. The Mazda 3 is just as quick, offers better gas mileage and has better utility than a tC.

o and they get the same gas mileage as the tc....for whoever said they get better was wrong... though they do handle better stock and have 4dr... so they do have there pluses

I actually called the cops on a couple of street racers a few weeks ago (if anyone is in the so cal area and familiar with Beach blvd between rosecrans and impreial highway at 6 in the evenin you'd think wtf?) and apparently there is this new "game" out there where you try to weave in and out of traffic as CLOSELY as possible and both of these guys nearly hit my car along with several others.

So I did what I thought was right and called the popo before someone seriously got hurt. Last thing I wanna see on the news is how some family got into a car wreck because of the guys I saw weaving in and out of traffic and didn't do anything about it when I should have. To me that would be as bad as being the guy causing the accident.

 

I have no idea where you other states are street racing at but around my way the street races are at an enclosed area where there's no traffic going through what so ever. Weaving through traffic is just seriously dumb cause proving to one another of who has the biggest ego around moving cars is dumb and i'm saying street racing isn't any better but at least around my way is at an enclosed area so no one can get hurt.

 

Most of it I see is on public streets. Racing in an enclosed area still isnt necessarily the smartest thing but at least innocent people wont get hurt. Everyone in an area where they are doing racing industrial park) that is in that area know the consequences of what they are doing. There are some people that once in awhile do some drifting across the street from my work at an industrial park. It's still not worth the consequences if you get caught but at least people who aren't involved won't be getting hurt.

 

yahoo i live 15 minutes from one of the most challenging road tracks in michigan! f the street, you can't do hairpin turns, half mile straights, 75mph blind hills and off axis turns there!

ps mazda3 can lick it, and the speed3 i am so jealous of.

 

To be sure, a Mazda3 can not talk ____. It's inanimate. Let's separate the people from the cars please. It's irritating that someone might brand me as one like you on account that I drive the same car as you.

to all the one's who said that a stock mazda 3 is just as fast as a stock scion,wrong! my wife drives a mazda 3 2.3l 5spd,its stock.when i first bought my car it was stock,ive driven both at the strip,and the scion is over a sec faster,they may have about the same hp but the scion's gearing is MUCH better.
