ok so i just got a quick thought that came in my head.... i was reading a couple header threads about how loud they are....
what bad could result if say.... someone was to start their car with NO header attached??

i did it way back when i put my headers on, just for ____s and giggles

hahah. i wanted to try it when i install my header, but i didnt wanna turn the car on here a gross sound and then have my car **** the bed on me lol. i just wanna hear it and scare the neighbors lol
One time I went to the track I unbolted the stock axle back, it was insanely loud and did not sound good at all.
Track times were slightly better, but not much different. Maybe half a tenth different.
One guy at the track actually liked the sound of it.. But I sure as hell didn't.

I know that in V8s yo can actualy melt the valves doing that since the temperature will fluctuate so much more as cold is sucked back into the head after the cylinder fires. The hot to cold cycling is the issue that the exhaust manifold doesnt let happen. They even warn of running the car with open shorty headers for the same reason. I dont know if it will effect a tC and its motor but its something to think about.
