i really want a full exhaust for my 2006 tc but my buddys got a 05 turboed with a megan full exhaust and i was really trying to go megan but if i do i dont have any cats. i wouldnt have a prob with that but i still have factory and exteded warrenty on the car. is there anyway that i could be a header with a cat and use the megan s pipe and catback exhaust?

 

just keep the stock header because it has a cat and get whatever exhaust you want and it will probably sound good.

no aftermarket exhausts come with cats. you can get one welded on your megan midpipe.

I think i know who this is haha......Ya dude the exhaust will bolt right up to your stock exhaust.....

When i had my car back in H.S I jsut had the megan catback with stock header and SRI if you remember what it sounded like?

 

haha yea....... nah cause i wasnt goin to qtown my senior year........ i might get the full exhaust and just weld a cat in the spipe..... im tryin to think of something soon cause i just bought a k and n cold air off some kid on here and im gonna order a full lip kit in like a month and i want it to be loud as ____. lol...... now i got to find the cheapest price....lol

 

dont see you welding on a cat on the s-pipe....but why you so worried about cats anyway....not going to fail emissions only on visual inspection and thats rarley done at small shops.....

Loud as poop would be full exhuast with header and no extra resonators in there....Sound Raspy and like crap IMO, but would sound nice if you added a resonator to the mid-pipe

 

yeah its going to sound like complete crap. try to at least get a MMW or Tsudo header and s pipe which will give you more power and better sound then go megan all the way. im sure you will get a decent power boost. kinda.
when i had my full exhaust the power gain was so minimal it wasnt worth it.

really the only thing im worried about is that warrenty cause im afraid that it will void it. i can always get stickers thats how i shot 2 foot flames with my last car haha

 

warrenty wont be effected, you warrenty will only void if the aftermarket part is related to the specifc failure of the part....

So you install springs/sways and your motor blows---there now way connected so still good

ya ill give you a hand, since its at a shop and torch will be available haha....Rusty exhaust bolts = pain in the dick....

I used like a whole can of PB Blaster getting my stock exhaust way back in the day

yeah a full exhaust setup would be header back which will eliminate the cats. there is the primary cat attached to the stock header so if you get an aftermarket one...there goes one cat. Your best bet is to get a catback and there are plenty out there now to get...Tsudo, ARK has 2, megan, dezod, p-tuning...lots of choices
