Default Lots of dynos, but no timeslips!

After some poking about in the performance forums, I'm starting to wonder why there are so few timeslips posted here. The timeslip thread in the "autosports" forum is pretty outdated, with most posts being some time ago... hell, I'm not sure many people ever really visit that section.

So I must ask of the tC power hungry group-

Plenty of dynos are on-hand for bolt-on tC's, but do the same people who dyno 150-160whp ever take their cars to the track?

I'd figure you guys would be running high 14's or so, but I'd like to see it. Give me an idea of what I can eventually accomplish. Proof, no guesses.

outcrnu has the TRD s/c, AW header, umnitza intake, and catback and he runs 14.66...

i dont think a tc with bolt ons such as the aw header, intake, and axel back will be hitting high 14s. but then again he said hes more into cornering and not into drag racing.

Why not?

I ran 15.8 bone stock, with a semi-crappy 60'. I figure an additional 15-20 whp would be enough to push us into the high 14's. One guy even has a timeslip floating around that says 15.2 with little more than an intake.

No way 15-20 hp will shave off .8 sec! Maybe .1-.2 sec.

i love how people think bolt ons will shave a second of 1/4 mile times

haha thats why i stick to the twisties

but yeah high 14's all motor in a car as heavy as ours is gonna be really hard to obtain, rsx-s with bolt ons can barely hit 14.9, if at all

14.9 for a RSX type s with bolt ons ? I guess you guys really havent seen these cars. I have a friend who has one with I/H/E and " hondata " ecu and does 13.8 at over 100 mph. Go on honda tech you will see everyone does that.

lol I i already hit 15.1 at the track, and ive had my car for 2 months for all practical purposes im a rookie. My 06 RSX-S is stock, so yes I,H,E on a type S easily yields low 14s. Supercharged TC will net the same numbers add header and it should be as quick if not a bit quicker than a lightly modded Type S. I own both and love both.

Bump.

TypeS's can hit below 15.0 stock, quite easily.

So anyone want to post their bolt-on tC timeslips? I'm curious as to what the 155whp guys are running.

Enough of this "boosted car spanking stock" video crap, that's completely obvious. I want to see timeslips.

I have to agree, I would really like to see some timeslips. So far I've only run my car with a CAI, muffler, and suspension. I was hitting around 15.4 most runs. I'll try to find the timeslips if anyone cares to see. I ran the car about 4-5 months ago.

***If the SC only runs a 14.8 with some bolt on mods, excluding the pulley to boost PSI. Then I'm not sure I would waste my money.

Thanks ikon.

I just am tired of seeing "boosted vs. stock" videos, which obviously are butt-whippings.... but give us ZERO true idea of what the S/C can do for my motor.

$3000 is a lot of money, and I want to see the actual acceleration increase. Dynos can vary wildly, videos vs. stock are pointless, and personal testimony only gets you so far. Where are the #'s?

If you can't drive, and you're avoiding posting a timeslip because of it... DO IT ANYWAY. Anyone with any 1/4-mile experience can tell you exactly what went wrong with your run, as well as how strong the car actually is.

Trapspeed =

Most of the drag strips in my area (closest being a few hours away) are closed for the winter. Who woulda thunk.

Bump.

I realize most tracks are closed for the winter, but please... lay off the street racing, pony up the $10 you saved on burning gas on fellow ricers, and get some timeslips.

Thanks.
