Low Revolutions in my TC... What could it be?
Hello guys...
My Scion TC has 58K miles now and when I turn the AC on I see the revolutions under or in 500. The car starts to shake a little so I guess there is something wrong going on... What could this be?
Thanks

Generally, it's normal during weather changes. It'll adjust itself and get better after a few miles of driving.
This problem can be made worse with an aftermarket S-pipe, since the wider volume affects sensor readings, feeding back to a theoretical slightly more rich idle.
I still get it every once in a while... I'm on an 06 with 52K

All car air conditioning systems change the RPMs to some extent. The only car I've ever been in which the A/C didn't lower the RPMs a bit was an SC400, which did the contrary. That thing had an idle of like 300 RPM with the A/C off... and practically tripled that to crank the compressor.
