so hopefully the seller supadupatc have some more "cheap" limited slips up for grab in the near future...i guess keep watching

I got the TRD lsd, TRD clutch assembly and TRD sportshifter from the same person for $1400. i guess not a bad deal than buying each individually lets say from trd sparks, now all i have to do is wait for the goods to arrive, get the lsd install kit and save some cash for the install. ouch!

I got quoted $520 for my lsd install from my toyo dealership .. Anyone here s/c'd too? Im just wondering how much the LSD helps with traction and being boosted, im looking for something to counter-act my second and third gear wheel spins.

i do hope that it will help a lot in terms of traction...im running stock and im not impressed with the car's traction primarily because of the wheel hop. it can get scary sometimes. i cannot imagine how its like with a boosted one with stock motor mounts and open diff.

So this is my project with my car, to put power on the ground with a LSD (might as well change the clutch while theyre at it) and poly mounts on all season tires.

I wonder hows the vibration from speed source poly mounts, from what i read from the forums it can get really baaddd. I hope i can live with it.

 

I need help. I have to find a more reasonable place to install and buy the LSD.
I went to a scion dealer here on Long Island and got a nasty quote for the LSD install.

18hours labor @ $80 = $1440 for install

The quoted the LSD & install kit @ $1550

I told them that was ridiculous and they said they could sell it for $1300

$2740 installed? that sounds a little crazy

I need to do the clutch & flywheel too. They said that would not change the install price since they already will be in there.

man i agree, thats kinda too much for the lsd kit. if i were you i will wait till you get a better deal for that lsd, im gonna post here again if i find a good deal floating somewhere. Right now, if you want it now...TRDsparks is the only place. Ask around somewhere for the install try to find a reputable mechanic or tuner shop in your area, dealerships are crazy, they often charge you an arm and a leg for everything.

I was quoted aroungd 600- 700 bucks for the install here in my area. but 1400 bucks? thats too much!

i'll keep you guys updated, with my install and review in the future. For now take it easy...peace out
