Default Mandrel Bend exhaust

Im just curious if anyone has ever gotten an exhaust system from http://www.mandrelexhaustsystems.com...-tC/Categories

And if they had a good or bad experience? What the quality was like and possible Videos/pics/sound clips?

Thanks for any info

Joe

running a muffler upstream with a tailpipe will kill header rasp for the future, cannister mufflers just make it worse, plus youll keep a stealthy look

I just bought one but do not have it on my car yet. I was kind of scared to order but I emailed back and forth with Josh at Mandrel and everything turned out pretty good. I followed with my order after 2 days b/c the tracking wasn't updating and was told it would be shipped that day. From the looks of it, pretty good quality and the tip looks tight!! I would go with them. All that is left for me to worry about it fitment but from the pics on the site, I feel confident all it good!

I have the full SS setup with a 14in resonator and it sounds amazing. Much better than that ricer sounding crap people buy.

I just got the SS axle back. I didn't want to mess with the midpipe or anything. What muffler did you end up getting Hix? I got the Borla!

Magnaflow. It's the most muted sound.

i got the magnaflow too but for some reason it sounds ricey as hell. i don't have a header but i do have a midpipe and spipe but i didn't think that would make a difference. does it matter which direction you install the muffler?

Direction depends on the muffler. I'm running a Flowmaster Hushpower and on that in-line design, flow direction matters. However, it is stamped on the inlet and outlet so it's easy to figure out. Not sure about the magnaflow.

Also, if you're looking to save some coin, go with the aluminized steel. it will perform and sound exactly the same as the stainless, it just doesn't look as pretty. However, unless you're running over your friends, it will never be seen anyway. I'd highly recommend the 18" resonator, it makes all the difference with rasp.

well the midpipe has a resonator but its probably not big enough and the magnaflow muffler does not have a direction arrow on it

Default Mandrel Exhaust Systems... Anyone tried these guys?

I've been looking at the Borla axle back but I'd like to save a few bucks where I can. I was searching for a Borla muffler for the Tc when I found this... an aftermarket fab company that custom bends the pipes for you, includes your choice of muffler (magnaflow, borla, aeroturbine, or flowmaster) all for 220 shipped... the only thing you need to add a few welds once its all bolted up. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with these guys...

I searched thread titles for "Mandrel Exhaust Systems" and this is what I came up with... "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms." I Couldn't seem to find a link commenting on the company or the quality of their products, if you could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated!

Just bought one....good company...good communication....still not installed though. I would say you don't even have to weld it b/c it comes with clamps. I got the stainless steel instead of aluminized steel but depends on budget. Thinking about s-pipe from them....it's like $120 shipped or something. Double check site to make sure. I would order from them if you want to save money. Weather looks good this weekend so I will post feedback after install hopefully Sunday night.

I got the s-pipe from them and it didn't fit. Might just get the Megan S-Pipe and the mandrel exhaust.

Sucks about the s-pipe. There seems to be fitment issues regardless of what s-pipe people get. Knowing that, I will probably pass on the s-pipe! Thx!
