Manual Swap wiring harness question
Just wondering if anyone has used the manual ecu with the auto wiring harness - i know ill need to rig the clutch sensor wiring - but im wanting to make sure the pinout on the ecu isnt different. The auto has extra wiring for the electronically controlled shift solenoids - but i take it on the manual ecu these pins just wanted be connected to anything. SO yea - overall just wondering if anyone has used the auto harness with the manual ecu.
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!
yes u can, i have a auto wiring harness with a manual ecu and it works just fine, only thing is that your going to have to splice the plug that goes into the tranny becasue the clips, are different other that everything is fine, ohh and your going to have 3 extra plugs left over..
Haha yea - the auto just costs alot to build if you want to make power - if you know where to look and have the mechanical knowledge you cna do the swap for about $1000-1500. As for the my original question - after going over the wiring diagram for the car it looked like eveyrthing would be good - just wnated to see if someone had done it - it looks like the wire on the auto used for the neautral/park switch for starting is the same wire used on the manual for the clutch engagement switch for starting. As for the tranny harness - the only wiring on the manual tranny is for reverse inidcator
lol That shouldnt be too bad to find a clip for and connect
