Default Megan or DC Sports with TRD Exhaust HELP!

Right now I have the TRD Exhaust and looking for a header, I have heard things about the TRD sounds kinda funny with a header but not sure which one. Can anyone with megan or DC header with TRD exhaust tell me how does it sound and which one is better? Thanks and any help is greatly appreciated!

I want a header also and I have the K&N Intake with TRD exhaust and the sound is awesome. Real deep and real loud. The thing I'm scared of is the "RASP". I don't want to turn the sound into a rice can fart noise. I've heard a rumor that the megan has no RASP? True or untrue?

with the trd exhaust, i think your going to get rasp with any of the headers on the market. Your problem is the exhaust you have.

I think the best bet would be the precision muffler which you can lookup somewhere on this site(I forgot where I saw it) So far i think that it is the only axle back muffler that gets rid of the rasp that the headers that are currently on the market produce.

Default same

I have the AW header and a Magna Flow high flow cat/resonator and the TRD exhaust. I have a sound that I don't like hearing I don't know if you could call it rasp, it sounds more like a slight rattle noise from the header at 4800 rpm.. I re-installed the factory muffler and it sounded the same. The sound I hear is coming from the front ( the headers) ! so maybe I should have bought the Megan..
AW is a nice looking header but it must have been tuned for power instead of sound.

Djicey702- sounds like ur header has an exhuast leak. does it make a ticking noise at all at idle? If it rattles like that up front then you should check for an exhaust leak. You can put ur hand under all the connection parts and feel for wamr air or air period. If you do then u have an exhaust leak.

You should be able to search and find more on the TRD exhaust and the DC header. You DO NOT want this combination, it sounds like a be hive and tons of rasp. We have had several tC with this combination. I ditched my TRD exhaust when I went to my DC header. I have the DC header, ZPI S-pipe, magnaflow cat, custom mid pipe with resonator.

Before you move on to any header you may want to reconsider the TRD exhaust. I do not have any experience with other headers and the TRD exhaust. You will need more feedback or do a search.
