Default Megan drift spec exhaust

Just installed yesterday, after some problems with stock exhaust rusted onto my s-pipe... but anyway this is what it looks like

But im not too sure about this, i couldnt seem to get these two flanges to fully close is it suppose to be like this?

The other side is down all the way but this side isnt.

Also i cant seem to get the silencer out, its like its jammed.

the silencer was a b!tch lol. after driving the car around some to get the pipe hot (so it expands) take 2 wire hangers, and get the hook behind the silencer (helps if you have 2 people) and pull on it to try to get it out and twist some. make sure that you are even on both sides so that one isn't farther out than the other. it takes about 10 minutes. ( took me about 15 cuz i wasn't doing it right, i was trying to use pliers)

Hey got the silencer off using some cloth to protect the point on the silencer then tightening some vice grips as much as i could and got it out. Looks like there were some metal shavings attached that were holding it back.

really? usually there is just a bolt or two that holds it on there and once that's off it should just come off. i bet the metal shavings were off of the pipe or the silencer. that's why its good to make sure its warm or hot (which being in texas you shouldn't have that problem lol

ok that's what i figured since when i had a few that is what it was from. just wanted to make sure it wasn't from something else. hope you enjoy!!!! it may be a big pipe but sounds nice and not crappy like some exhaust, i think that's why most people have this one or the hks

first remove the bolts out of the silencer and put on some vice grips turn and pull out..

the rear flange is supposed to have that gap.. theres is a big donut exhaust gasket that goes there.. i hope you put that in..and just tighten down till it seals.. because if you over tighten the donut gasket it lessens the life of the gasket drastically..
