Default Megan midpipes

Installed the mid-pipe today. As you guys know it comes in 2pieces, so when I turned on my car I could hear the air escaping to where the pipe meets in the middle to become one piece(mid-pipe). I screwed it on with the screw and nut it came with and I also put the gasket.

Any idea what it could be?

i just installed my tsudo midpipe today. what i realize is... you think you tightened everything and everything is nice a peacey, however it is a pit in the *rear* to ACTUALLY align the pipes. When i first put on everything i realize none of the pipes are aligned. so i "loosen" all the bolts and nuts, don't take them off, have a friend hold onto the pipes while i tighten them. because sometimes when you just try to tighten the nuts and bolts, the pipes tend to move around.

So after you did that did it sound good? Meaning there was no air escaping through the seals?
