Default Megan Racing Cat Back Exhaust Fitment

Installed the MR exhaust last week and upon installation noticed something...the front pipe is sitting almost right on the crossbrace under the exhaust area. Also i've noticed that the muffler itself is shifting to the left at the tip and starting to melt the inside of the bumper. Anyone having these same problems? Anyone figured out the fix for them? I was wondering if any company made a metal inlay for the rear bumper to help prevent the exhaust from melting the bumper. Any help for these issues would be appreciated!

I saw this problem in another thread about a month ago.. Someone contacted megan and I believe they released another version of the exhaust..

I had a problem with my original megan header and when they came out with a new version they replaced it for free, I'm sure they'll do the same for you if you somehow got the old version of the exhaust.. Just e-mail or call them, I got their email address from their website.

I would recommend to put your stock exhaust back on for now so your bumper doesn't get melted anymore.

Update...I figured out how to fit the exhaust better to keep the muffler from sliding around...
Weld a thick bead on the last hanger of the exhaust (not the hanger on the muffler itself)...Go about an inch and a half in from the end of the hanger and weld a bead around the hanger...that will keep the hanger from sliding to the left and causing the muffler tip to contact the rear bumper...i've been driving it for about 4 days now and it's working perfectly!
As far as the sound, it is really nice!!! It almost sounds like a wrx with an exhaust...i'm very pleased with the sound and quality of it!!!
I would definitely recommend the exhaust to all, aside from the minor fitment issues...

What does the end of the exhaust look like? Does it have a little hole on the end like this one? I hope it doesn't. http://creativecompacts.com/Merchant...Category_Code=
