Default Megan Racing Drift Spec question...

j/w whos running this system and what they think. Also i was wondering if the mid pipe that comes with it eliminates the cat. or does it bolt up to it. I will also be buying the megan racing s-pipe, any comments on that?

I have it and I personally love it. It has a great tone to it.

Yes the mid pipe does eliminate the secondary cat. Though that cat is not monitored, so you won't throw any cel.

Couldn't tell you about the s-pipe, I also plan on getting one soon though.

you dont need an s-pipe for headers but it doesnt delete your stock s-pipe. You can get an aftermarket one that will free up flow. But your gona need a big **** resonnator if you get headers and a full exhasut. This exhaust sounds great my buddy has it on his tC and ima get it ina few months after i come back from deployment.

i have drift spec and megan racing s pipe and am in love with it. the mid pipe deletes the secondary cat but thats no big deal. I never swapped over the o2 sensor on the s pipe which threw a cel but no big deal.

sound is amazing and i love it and have gotten many comments about how it sounds like a wrx

this is with the stock header though, once u add a header its all over hahaha

As of right now i am running a DC header. So what you guys are saying is if i have a header the s pipe won't work, or are you trying to say there really is no need for it?

I've got the exhuast and like it. My first feeling when I got it on was, "I sure hope I don't get accused of being a ricer" but that's never happened. The car people I know like it, but some non-car people think "it's too loud" sometimes. Personally, I like the tone and I love being able to hear the RPM's. Just don't ever sit and idle for 2 hours....the sound changed prolly from overheating something inside the muffler, but it's been so long I can't tell the difference.

u dont need an spipe but if u want to buy an aftermarket one u can cuz ur stock spipe should still be on, aftermarket spipe = more flow, a lil bit louder, raspier.

No the stock s-pipe is still there. and working since all you added was a header. You need that for you exhaust to be complete. What we are trying to say is you can add an aftermarket one. your gonna get more flow and need a resonator on your mid-pipe unless you want to sound like a ricer and like alota rasp. But since you still have the stock midpipe i wouldnt get the s-pipe first I would get the midpipe add a 30" resonator and then buy and s-pipe later.

-Do get an aftermarket s-pipe for a free flowing exhaust but get the midpipe first.
-Do get a resonator put on your mid-pipe

And again you need the s-pipe.

Header>s-pipe>midpipe>axleback this is how it works

Hope this helps. PM me if your still confused.

so i know this topic kinda died but... I got my exhaust into day and will be intalling it on sunday. Or coarse like everyone else as soon as i saw the box i had to open them up and look!! There soo nice. I have a quick question though. I tried to take the silencer out. I removed the two bolts and it wouldn't come out. Is there a special tool needed or something? I was thinking that maybe after i installed it i would let it run and see if it expanded enough from the heat for it to slide out. I would like to be able to put it in and take it as needed, and would like to know if taking it out would ruin it?
