Default Megan Racing headers with TRD exhaust

The only thing stopping me from getting these racing headers is i don't want to have my exhaust sound like crap and be all raspy. Has any one put them on with a TRD exhaust I don't like the riced out sound of most cat backs so I'm trying to avoid buying one of them.

this is the worst combo. had it for a day couldnt handle how loud it was. went back to stock axle back til custom mid-pipe was made. BTW header are waste of money

Yea I heard this was the worst combo, even with resonators it will still probably be raspy.

resonators will kill some rasp. i had 2 stock resonators and still had rasp in the upper RPM range. but in the lower RPMs it was nice. i have since then gotten an Tsudo axleback and love it

from experiance...........this will sound bad very very bad, even after putting in resonators with the TRD can with header it iwll sound bad.........get rid of the TRD and you will have decent sound with resonators and good exhaust..

go with the best headers if ur going to it. Either MonsterMotor Works or Strup are the best. Alphawerks are too but they don't sell those anymorew

^^^ yeah i have had almost all the brand of header their is i noticed though the dc header produces less rasp i think due to the ceramic coading causing the less sound waves .. not sure i noticed though with the same setup ... rightnow though im fine unless he can get a hold of a first gen megan header like the one i have with a cat on the header . this eliminated all rasp with two resonators and the same axle back .

Ive got the megan headers and stock exhaust (for now), the rasp isnt too bad when driving normally, when you get on it the rasp sounds horrible from about 2000-3500 rpms after that theres no rasp. It has gotten better since i put my fujita CAI only because the thing is awesome loud and sounds amazing when i romp on it. kinda drowns out the rasp a little but its still there, im waiting to put my exhaust on to see if i can fix this before i put me stock headers back on till i can afford some boost.
