Default Megan Racing S-pipe

Just got done installing it, haven't noticed any gains really maybe a little throttle response but i really noticed that my car shifts way easier and smoother. Ill get some pics up later. Now all i need is the Alphawerks header and then get that jet hot coated then ill be set till i scrounge up some money for a s/c or turbo. Also was afraid of stripping the o2 sensor it started coming off easy then got hard Wd40'd it up and it came out smooth like butta! But anyways was afraid cause ppl talked about them being cross threaded and such.

did you notice your car is slightly louder? I noticed that when I put it in... And it might be me, but I hear a "sucking" of air from below the car now too...

yea, it is a touch louder, but not by much. i think you can really feel it pull more when you get higher in the rpm range (above 4k)

I wonder if you loose any low end torque with the new s-pipe? Has anyone seen a dyno result?

Couldn't get my CEL to clear either. Reset it like 15 times by un-hooking the battery.Took mine to the dealership and they cleared my CEL. Hasn't come back on since.

^almost nothing.. the reason why u get the cel becaue if u get headers than i delete your first cat ( our car has 2 cat.. 1 on the factory headers and 1 on the factory midpipe..) with the aftermarket header u delete the factory first cat.. and thats why u got cel... if u have factory headers w/ cat then u can get s pipe w/o worries to get cel....

how was the install? worth purchasing?

I have the megan oe-rs catback and was contemplating doing the s-pipe too, but wasnt too sure on noise, i cant deal with the car being too loud which is why i was planning on staying header-less but possibly upgrading the s-pipe.

the s-pipe makes it a little louder but hardly noticeable, install was easy only prob was with the 02 sensor at first but after one turn sprayed a lil WD40 on it then came out easy as hell. So i recommend it.

I installed mine a a couple of weeks ago and I notice the same sucking of air noise. It doesnt sound like an exhaust leak though. An exhaust leak would be more of a popping sound.

?

i am, i was just asking him wether the added noise of the s-pipe is noticeable, or the added performance gain as well.
