Default megan racing s-pipe

question about the megan s-pipe...i just got mine yesterday and installed it...for some reason the s-pipe doesn't fit plush into the mid-pipe. i don't know if it's supposed to or not. i expected it to fit snugly but it's nothing like that...i called megan racing and they told me it's not supposed to fit plush and i thought that sounds alittle ridiculous, but i could be wrong. they told me to just use an air gun and tighten it as much as possible....can anyone who has the megan s-pipe help me somehow or let me know if this guy is right or wrong??? thanks

you mean it doesn't fit FLUSH, not "plush"

that sucks if the s-pipe doesnt fit flush with the mid-pipe. you're using the oem mid-pipe right? Is there a leak where the s-pipe and mid-pipe meet? cause if not, then all should be good.

that was the hardest install of my life. yea ur right the s-pipe doesnt match up with the mid pipe. i hammered it in a little and forced it in. doesnt seem to have any leakage so i guess its ok. im getting the tanabe cat back soon so it wont be crappy forever. but good piece tho

well i didnt trust my effort in making the s-pipe fit so i took it to a muffler shop. i had them cut the extension coming out of the flange and grind it sooth so it would fit. i went and bought some gasket sealant just to make sure there was no leakage and re-installed the s-pipe. it fits perfectly now
