Default MMW Intake and MMW Header + CC Exhaust = RASP *VIDEO*

I just finished the install of my CC full exhaust. Its magnaflow muffler and resanator, no cat. I have MMW intake and header/spipe. The rasp is crazy. I am wondering if any one else has this setup and how theirs came out.

Any help would be great.

I can say that it all went together really well. the tip sticks out a little far, but thats my only complaint for fitment issues.

I will have pics and Vid sometime this morning.

So heres some vids of what it sounds like. The video came out a little quite...there is alot more rasp that you can here. I did notice that if I didnt stomp on it there is little to no rasp. So i am going to muffler shop at 11 to check for leaks. Ill update.

Just returned from the muffler shop. No leaks, says my install is perfect. So apperantly rasp is here to stay. I did talk to CC and they say that with this header rasp is unavoidable. They suggest a second resanator.

Anybody else have this setup, and how is it working for you?

I've heard the megan catback with a megan header and it did not sound raspy.. It must be the CC exhaust, you can always try to sell it and get the megan setup.

Hmmm here is a link to someone with a CC full exhaust and MMW header.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=90576

Sounds really awsome, this is the reason i got the CC. He has the Borla muffler, highflow cat and resonator. Maybe different muffler or a cat could solve the problem??

Dunno just something to consider.

Ive talked to CC, they said that I am gonna get Rasp from the MMW header no matter what exhaust I go with.

Anybody have the MMW Header with a intake and not have rasp?

Any help would be great.

i think you should listen to the people at your shop. you gotta have either a Hi-Flow cat w/ resonator or 2 resonators to get rid of that rasp. obviously NA (I/H/E) tC's sound raspy when its too loud unless you get turbo...

also if you just had your I/H/E done recently just keep driving intill the parts break-in, youll notice the sound change after a few hundred miles.

I am gonna try a second resanator...and see how that helps.

Aside from the rasp I noticed a pretty good gain from the butt dyno. Id like to get to a trach and just see what i can put down for #'s. First I have to find one around in CT. Or close by.

a second resanator, and you might be loosing a little power.

Emphasis on "little". The 2nd or larger resonator may actually improve driveability by adding some backpressure and boosting low end power.

I know I noticed no difference adding my 30" resonator. I cant imagine any issues when hes running 2.5" piping and no cat. Theres so much flow available to him that a resonator would not affect HP in any measurable way.

Well if you're planning on going FI then you wouldn't be dropping $6-800 on a new header/s-pipe package :p

Besides, it's not like $50 for a nice big resonator is going to kill the bank ;)

If you go TRD S/C, your $6-800 dollars would not be waisted.
