Modifying Stock Exhaust System
Hey buds! Heres the dealyo: I love how my car is sleeper right now and itd be freakin awesome if I could have it like that forever. The thing that makes it quiet is the stock muffler but I still want to get as much performance out of my exhaust as possible. What I was thinking was, will there be any gains if I were to remove the stock resonator and replace the original cat with a high flow one? I plan on getting an s-pipe too so Im thinking I'll get a little more power out of doing those things. Now what is it on an aftermarket replacement that makes it gain more power besides being a little bit bigger pipe? Are aftermarket systems usually smoother inside or is it all pretty much the same type of pipe? Thanks in advance for any answers you might have to my questions. I know this way would be cheaper and I would get my wish of being stock looking and sounding but if its not really gonna give me much gains then I'll just get the Draxas setup and throw a resonator or two on it to quiet it down some.
I agree with you on getting the Draxas exhaust system
to answer your questions. Removing the resinators wont yeild you much HP, if any at all. About the only thing it will do is reduce weight. Adding a Hi-Flow cat (draxas system has that) however, will increase your HP because you are freeing up flow. The stock muffler is VERY restrictive... and i know you want a sleeper.... but i think it would be very hard to get around having a real quiet car with a good flowing exhaust
I should have my draxas spipe and back exuast (no headers as of yet) sometime this week or the next, and will install it asap and will have pictures, sound clips, videos, etc.

I will be installing the draxas exhaust on a lift hopefully (since my buddy owns a shop) so i will be able to get good pitures of the overall piping. Ill keep you guys updated, as well as making a new thread on the exhaust.
I will do my best! There will be multiple pictures of the product before and after install, pictures compared to the stock system, as well as pictures of the pieces individually

once you get an aftermarket header, you will need to ann an antifouler to the spipe.
update: my draxas exhaust is shipping today with-out the spipe (the spipe is on back order), pics and sound clips soon to come!
