it would be nice to not get a cel with headers.. but i doubt that would be the case here..... im sure the cel trick would have to be employed here aswell..!

This header is a full length header, and includes the S-pipe. It also does NOT trigger a CEL light.

 

Sick! Now I just wanna see what the SS one will look like when finished...the titanium is wicked as isht! and a dyno would be nice too!

 

REALLY!! Wow...!! can you explain how that happened..? is that because of the 4-2-1 design..? OR.. it is that you incorporated the sparkplug anti fouler... just wondering because so far almost every post i have read about the "other" headers all eventually pop an CEL without the anti fouler trick........ It's great in any case that the CEL is not poped with yours... im looking forward to seeing your finished product..

That titanium header is pretty sweet. Out of my price range of course, but admirable.

Now the SS 4-2-1 header that you guys are prototyping, that I'm going to be keeping my eye on.

I'm curious too at how this header gets around the "CEL problem" as well.

 

I think that the quality of the work shows thru and thru.I used to work in LA for a guy who did tin work like that and people dont understand the skill and time involved with quality welding.

There were loads of times i had seen people go cheap on fabrication and then have to pay us to put it right.

Who ever does your welding certainly knows how to "stack dimes"

The header is kinda rich for me but it made me look at yor site.

I must agree with all of the true gear heads here.

If you think that that exhaust is ugly, that it should be wrapped, or that it needs to be nice and shiny, then you my friend are a true ricer right down to posing with your nos stickers and no-performance gaining fart cans. Funny cause you think you know **** about performance, when infact all you know about is how to make a car look like a christmas tree with neons lol.

I love the weld work and totally understand the troubles youhad to go through with that piece. I never had the pleasure of welding Ti before but hopefully in the future I will. To all those that love this piece, they know its worth the price......you are the guys blowing all the ricers away up above in real life.

 

It could be that they are just ignorant of the amount of work that goes into welding titanium. Many people, if asked, woudln't know that titanium is much harder to bend than steel.

Did you know kangaroos can't jump backwards?

I mean if you think about it, titanium should be harder to bend than steel and kangaroos really can't jump backwards since their posture and build is for jumping fast and forward while maintaining balance.

But honestly, who thinks on these forums?

Having thought - I was wondering if there is a benefit to titanium other than weight savings. Weight savings is a big boon but I suspect there might be something else such as natural smoothness or something more condusive to flow.

Titanium... damn! That is a truly impressive piece of work right there! For the weight, performance, and bragging rights i'd be all over that (if i ever got into racing or anything like that)

there's been some talk about wrapping the header. I thought aboout doing this as well but talked to a guy at a local perfomance shop and he said that it wasn't a good idea for a street car. I guess the wrap causes the metal to get too hot and it will crystalize, thus making the header very brittle. Any one know if that's true? does that only happen with steel? or would you have the same problem with titanium?

 

wrapping the header?

i know they do them in race cars and stuff but i've never seen it done on a street car. i guess its not a good idea. and if your worried about engine heat. just buy a new radiator. better money spent.
