Default my 06 tC needs a little more

i bought this car used and got lucky as the previous owner had installed an Injen cold air (wheel well not engine compartment) and a HKS exhaust. anybody have a similar setup in their 5spd? anybody know what i'm getting for power with these mods?

also i wanna put in a short throw and some suspension. i'd like to know specifics of what i should be looking for as far as suspension goes and what other mods i can do (no FI) that i will be able to really feel the difference with. thanks for helpin a rookie!

i have the same setup in my m/t 07. i loved the setup. you don't get much hp out of only those two mods. unless you go full exhaust which i wish i could but live in cali. so i'm just sticking to a midpipe. i got use to the sound of my car and wanted something diff. with it.

hows the difference with the rear sway and the lowering springs? noticeable? did you go with the toyota 1" drop or from another mfr?

the stance on the lowering springs isn't a lot noticeable to me until you put it up to a stock height tc. and the rear sway doesn't stiffen the back a lot but it's notice. more with nice tires too

also wanting on my injen cold arir to come in, just installed the hks axle back and love it, dc header and nst pulleys are next, i just cant get myself to change out the midpipe and forward pipe, i love the way it sounds now, but i know the power lies in those two items, so im stuck in a rock and a hard palce

Sweet sound > the neglible amount of power the header might add. The pullies will allow you to rev up and down faster, not really adding horses, but releasing some tied up.

If you want springs, I recommend Tein S springs. I got them on my TC and it looks and drives great.

Yeah... I totally scraped the ____ out of my bumper last night, and i'm probably 0.4" higher than stock. Still getting coilovers, but damn, that sucked! I couldn't see where it got hit as it was last night.

Moral of the story? No idea, thought i'd share.

those stories hurt. =( maybe we'll all pool an buy you a night vision cam to stick in your bumper like truckers use. ha!

nah, but anyway i dig the H-Techs cause i ain't lookin to eat asphalt but still wanna get the better handling and better aeros. the Buyers Guide for tc suspension lists tons of springs in the 1.5"-2.0" range

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...wering+springs

obviously material / sag / price / warranty come into play but what about dropping the front lower than the rear? or vis versa? is this personal preference or performance?
