my car is running rich
What did you do to make your car dump fuel in the first place? Adding a catalytic converter will help convert the hydrocarbons into carbon monoxide which will in turn, decrease the smell of gas, but this is only limited depending on how rich your car is running. If your car is running extremely rich you will essentially burn out the catalytic converter as well as spark plugs and the problems are endless.
maybe you have an exhaust leak towards your header or spipe. becuase if you are driving with the windows down... and everything is bolted correctly, it would be comming out of the tip of your muffler and you wouldn tbe able to smell it. did you put back that little donut gasket between the header and the spipe?
if you're running real rich you will see an excess of carbon build up on your rear bumper and exhaust tip in some cases. And like said before, check for exhaust leaks and of course if you're throwing a CEL then get the code pulled at autozone and come back here and post it.
Thats about 75 miles less than i'm getting per tank. I'm averaging 29.5 miles to the gallon with an HKS axle back and K&N CAI. That may be normal for the header application, anyone with experience on this wanna speak up?

Your not runnign rich with just bolt on's.
come on man, seriously. dont worry about it, you cars exhaust stinks because of the bolt on's. Have you never moded or been around a race track or any other moded car?
Dont mean to be an A$$, but you will be perfectly fine.
