You are not wrong but if you were you would have been corrected before you even posted.

I tried to drill all the way through one of the anti-foulers but I only had the strength and patience to get halfway through it so what I did was check to see if the sensor fit and it did but I had to lightly bore out the inside walls. I think that probably decreases the amount of flow the sensor receives too because basically only the top hole of the sensor is exposed to airflow. I used the 42009 foulers and maybe you should just buy another set and try what I did. Drill halfway through one of them and slightly shave away some of the inside walls at the bottom end (not the threading) with a smaller drill bit or whatever you want to use and then put it all together. Make sure you disconnect your negative battery cable for a few minutes so that it all resets and also make sure your s-pipe o2 sensor is actually plugged into the system in case you removed it.

as stated above, put antifouler in your spipe, and sensore in your antifouler, make sure all connections are tight, and disconnect the negative terminal on the battery (if you have an alarm system, make sure to disarm your system, if you dont do this, your alarm will sound once the battery is disconnected).

reconnect to the battery after like 5 mins or so, and see what happens...

Smells a lot like damaged O2 sensor:

The antifouler HAS to go on the S pipe sensor and you MUST use 2 of them with one of them completely drilled out (the one drilled out is the one that the sensor threads into).

Question???
If i am just replacing the exhaust and the S-Pipe do i have to use an anti-fouler??
The exhaust will have a high flow cat and a resonator
sorry if this a dumb question but i am not really sure....i will eventualy (sp) be getting headers but it will be a while down the road and then i am assuming that i will replace with anti-foulers!!!!

No...you only need the anti fouler when installing a header. They are needed to trick the system into theinking the pre cat on the exhaust manifold is still there.

Just before it gets fixed? not as a solution..

Ok thanks is it normal that my cel doesnt come on until about 200 miles? If a sensor was broken it would come on right away right?

Yea, that is kinda weird. Have you had the code read yet. You can go to most any of the auto parts stores and get that done for free.

I have a question that is a little bit off topic but still about the 02 sensors. A guy I know with a DC Header is running his header with his first o2 sensor hole plugged with some dummy one. He says he couldnt get the sensor out of his old manifold because it was stuck somehow. Now I want to know, how bad is this for his car? I was just curious as to how much this would hurt him. Thanks!

how does the car run? That sensor monitors the air/fuel ratio!!! The computer probably has the car in "limp" mode where it runs pig-rich. Bad gas mileage and poor performance. You cannot just remove these things!!!

Im not sure how it runs but it still seems pretty quick. Its a 5 spd so maybe thats why it seems quick. We are having a Scion car show on the first of October and there will be a mobile dyno free for all Scion owners so I guess we'll see what hes getting. We both have the same mods.
