Not a huge fan of the tip. But it still looks good I'm curious to see a dyno for that.

So was the price to make it less or more than if you had bought one? No matter what all that matters is that you like it, cant beat a one off creation and you did it yourself. A job well done....

 

well MSRP for a magnaflow cat back is.. 619 for 2.25 inch piping

cheapest people are buying it for is like 450 if i remember correctly.

my whole cat back will be about 370, if not less.

plus, i built it myself, so i can take alot of pride in it

did you cut out the 2nd cat?
what muffler did you use?
how did you bend the pipes?
what metal did you use?
care to share the piece by piece measurements?

you cant diss out a one off system anyway so you got mad props and maybe a follower out of me

hey thanks.. i can answer the questions no problem

1)i didnt weld it... had a shop do that, thats all they did though, i marked the pieces in order of what to weld.. such as 1 welds to 2 and so on.. dont have a welder

2) this is only a axle back.. but when i do build my midpipe, within the month(may) i am going to be keepin it, but loosing the resonator because this thing is TOO QUIET.
im keepin the cat, because i want to keep my low end haha

3) i used a magnaflow 4x9 muffler... you have to look for it, its not on there site, i bought it for like 100 bux from a muffler shop

4) the pipes were pre bent.. i just bought two U- bend pipes and cut them accordingly with a circular saw that the construction workers at my house leftover..shhhh they dont know

5) its aluminum unfortunately, but i will be powdercoating it black so no rust worries

6) i have no clue on the piece by piece measurements.

its actually really easy to build a system like this, this one is alot more complicated than most.. but if i were to use a canister like the HKS.. it would have been REALLY EASY to make the piping... but this one was hard, and the reason i chose this muffler was because i knew it was quiet, and this is my "luxo" car

i paid 250 for jus the axle back, and im scrappin the idea of a cat back, im jus gonna remove the cat...

so the system with cat removed is costin me: 290 total
