I got bored today so I made what ammounts to a MAF mount. It's made of 3" exhaust tubeing, a slice of 1" pipe, some roll pins, some steel plate, and some delicate welding.
The filter has a little cone filter in the end that butts up to the stock air inlet in the fender. I haven't really driven it hard yet, but it is very loud when you get into it .

not bad. i would've just gone with an aftermarket short ram, but if yer low on cash then whatever works.

I probly lost some down low but that's not the point. It just sounds cool.

 

Yeah i dont feel like paying for an intake right now. I was thinking of doing that but was not too sure how to mount the MAF. Looks like that took a little time and skill. Anyone have any ideas on how to mount it and what to use as the tube?

actualy yes. I can't tell if the MAF isn't sealing well enough or if its the filter. It only whistles while under heavier load.

If there's no CEL, your MAF is mounted correctly. Most CAI and SRI whistle, which is cool. Congrats!

How am I a dick. I was not knocking him for his intake I was just stating the fact that I did it 3 months ago and nobody gave me any props for it. Now everybody looks at this one and thinks its the sh*t. I really wasn't trying to be a dick about it.
