Default My tC vs. Non-turbo Supra

Impossible? Actually it's a buddy of mine and we were going home on a lonely road. No one behind us and no one ahead of us. At a light, we reved a little for fun, but we took off. His non-turbo supra packed an Apex'i exhaust, mine packed HID lights that weighed me down( ). Suprisingly enough, we were neck and neck on 1st and 2nd gear. But on 3rd and 4th I felt my car slowing down in acceleration and I was like 'shoot I'm going to lose.' By the time we stopped, he was only about half a car ahead of me. Believe it!

Some sources claim it is targeted at the 350z..... of course we have to watch out for "insider" information, but I can't see them going through the design to create something close to $30,000 (again, info from the searches I have done, to be taken with a grain of salt) that will not compete. Especially since it is supposed to be rear wheel drive. We can keep our fingers crossed

my buddies supra was a 98'. I'm actually going to call him up and see if we can go at it again. I still don't believe how close we were. Either he's a bad driver, or he wasn't pushing the gas down all the way.

The new supras don't look half as good as the most recent ones. In fact, it looks like a dodge viper. I think Toyota should target the STI and EVO's, that way we can once again reign supreme! GO TRD!

pretty sure the NA 98 Supra would easily take the tC with equal drivers.

I dont see the viper at all in the supposed 2007 supra pics... It looks like a mix of the late 90s supra and the NSX IMO. Too bad it is all covered up!

about a month ago i talked to someone at the dealership and he said it's supposed to be a hybrid with like 500lb torque or something like that. i don't think he really knew what he was talking about and was just blowing smoke up my ___. i can't see a hybrid making that kind of power. but then again i know almost nothing about hybrids.

now that I think about it, our tC's actually are probably faster than people think they are. I was watching the supra race an srt4, and lost and I thought to myself that was way out of my league. But I haven't really gone up against other competition yet. I beat a 3 series BMW, but maybe he sucked at driving. I raced my brother's 92 accord and beat him, (he had a cold air intake).

500 lbs of torque huh?! DAMN! That's crazy for a hybrid. The stage 3 turbo tC on ScionSpeed only got about like mid 300s or maybe low 400s.

Well what you guys need to know is that electric motors is all torque and very little horsepower. A prius is 295 ft-lb from 0-1200 rpm. so 500 ft-lb is not all that crazy
