So which do you need? The screw or the nut on top?

Frankly you might as well just go to the dealer for it. It can't be THAT expensive and what you think you're saving by going online will be spend twice over in shipping that one single screw or nut to your door.

Short of finding one new you may try like a fastenal type place but not know exact length and thread pitch for the stud will be hard. May have to go to the stealership.

Just enter the part number you need in the "Search by Part Number or Keyword" section. Select Toyota and not Scion for make as you usually get better results that way. Your part cost 55 cents, but it cost $9 to ship. So yeah just go to the dealer.

FIY: To make your dealer visit as short as possible, don't try to describe the parts you need to the guy behind the counter. Instead just write down your car's info (Year, model, and vin) on a piece of paper and write down the part numbers you need with a short description. Then when you go to the dealer just hand the guy the paper.

I work behind a parts counter and can say ^ is absolutely right.

A guy called in last night asking why his taillights and dash didn't work on his Dakota I asked him if he checked the fuses and he immediately hung up on me. Half hour later he shows up mad as hell that all his fuses are fine. Ended up being his headlight switch but it's not an easy life as a parts guy.

sorry for off topic but part #s and interchanges are the best way
