Default in need of a primary o2 sensor but need help

i know i know. n00b question from a not-so-n00b person.

i need to get a new primary (upstream) o2 sensor.

i have an 07, and was wondering if this would work. it states it's for an 06. i'm thinking it will. only the maf sensor changed between years, right?

https://www.partshighway.com/product...tnum=BOS-15486

much thanks.

what makes you think you need one? the one on your header is a/f sensor, and the one on the down pipe is o2 sensor

i'll give you my best advice for these types of situations,

look up the part number of the primary O2 sensor for your car, and for it's counterpart on a tC of a different model year, and if they're the same, you're golden.

Actually if your O2 sensor is constantly going bad or throwing primary O2 related CEL's you may need to look closer at the tune, throwing O2 after O2 is a band-aid and does not address the reason why you are having problems. MAF clamping and inadequate O2 mapping can be the culprit.

i wasn't disagreeing with you whatsoever. my advice was just about looking up parts in general between model year tC's. some parts change and such and won't work with other model year scions, but a great way to find out is to just look up the part numbers. if they're the same, you're good to go. if they're different, then you might have a problem.

Because mine is currently throwing a code my way and my tuning shop said I will need to eventually replace it because of this.

Thanks cburglb34. That's all I needed to know.
