My situation..
I have a worn Rod Bearing which means I basically have to get a new Engine now.
My Question is...
Do I buy a Rebuilt/Refurb engine?..so I can do a quick swap.
or Rebuild the bottom end?...will it be better?
The problem is I dont have the room to work on my car nor the Extra time to rebuild...vs. buying a complete engine to Swap In and Out.
I like to know what is Cheaper way to fix my engine???
I am just confused and what to do about this...Need my car going ASAP...
Also any companies out there that sell Fully Remanufactured engines???
Thank in Advance!!!

If you do your own labor, everything will be cheaper.. I would just buy a low mileage engine, swap it myself, either than that, your going to have to pay for labor and special tools.. Happened to my friend also and charged him 600 for the labor, finished it in a weekend. Luckily, he found a good engine with 90 day warranty.
I'm in the same boat
been running on a worn connecting rod bearing for several months, not really knowing what to do -.- i know the engine is pretty much done. im sure theres metal shavings everywhere.
oh yea. the car makes a ticking noise kinda like a cheap diesel car. also when you accelerate from like 2-3k rpm. you can hear the ticking. its pretty embarrassing when im driving around
